Fatal I-59 Crash: Clay Resident Identified As Victim
A Clay man has been identified as the victim in a fatal car crash on Interstate 59 last week.
CLAY, AL — An accident August 7 on Interstate 59 claimed the life of a Clay resident, according to information from the Trussville Police Department. Tyrone Lowe, 21, crashed his Nissan Altima on Interstate 59, near mile marker 142, which is mid-way between the I-459 junction and the Chalkville Mountain Road exit.
A Trussville Tribune report said Lowe lost control in the northbound lane, the car flipped several times and ended up in the southbound lane. Trussville PD Detective Ben Short told the Tribune that Lowe was ejected from the vehicle. No other cars were involved in the crash.
Lowe was taken to St. Vincent’s East and pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
