Football's Coming: Husky Night Set For August 16

TRUSSVILLE, AL — It may be summer in Alabama, but the anticipation of football season gets more intense with each passing day, and Hewitt-Trussville High School will host an event at the football stadium to get residents ready for the upcoming season.

Husky Night is set for August 16, and will feature scrimmages by Husky football teams and performances by the cheerleading squads. As well, the varsity football team and varsity cheerleading team will also be available for autographs.

Admission is $2 and students will enter free with their Student Athletic Passes.

The event schedule is as follows:

• 5 p.m.-5:20 p.m. 1st Grade/2nd Grade Scrimmage (Youth Cheerleaders Announced)
• 5:20 p.m.-5:40 p.m. 3rd Grade Scrimmage (Youth Cheerleaders Announced)
• 5:40 p.m.-6:00 p.m. 4th Grade Scrimmage (Youth Cheerleaders Announced)
• 6 p.m.-7 p.m. Varsity Football and Varsity Cheer available for autographs (Inside Front Gate)
• 6 p.m.-6 p.m. 5th Grade Scrimmage (Youth Cheerleaders Announced)
• 6:20 p.m.-6:40 p.m. 6th Grade Scrimmage (Youth Cheerleaders Announced)
• 6:40 p.m.-7 p.m. 7th Grade Scrimmage
• 7 p.m.-7:10 p.m. MS Cheer Performance
• 7:10 p.m.-7:30 p.m. 8th Grade Scrimmage
• 7:30 p.m.-7:40 p.m. JV Cheer Performance
• 7:40pm-8 p.m. 9th Grade Scrimmage
• 8 p.m.-8:10 p.m. Varsity Cheer Performance
