Former Pinson Football Coach Now Head Coach At Pell City

Pell City High School's new head football coach is the former head coach at Pinson Valley High School.

PELL CITY, AL - Former Pinson Valley High school head football coach Wayne Lee has another head coaching gig. Lee is now the head coach at Pell City High School, where he had been the defensive coordinator for the last nine seasons.

Lee was head coach at Pinson Valley from 1999-2008, recording a 52-56 record. His teams made six playoff appearances and was crowned the region champions during his first year as the head coach. The Indians advanced to the second round of the state playoffs twice during his tenure at PVHS.

According to a report by the Trussville Tribune, Pell City's former head coach Keith Etheredge left Pell City after going 6-5 in 2017 to go to T.R. Miller.

Lee was approved by the St. Clair County School Board in a meeting this month and will also be the athletics director. His wife is the Pell City girls basketball coach.
