The Alabama Sports Writers Association preseason poll for 2019 includes HTHS, PVHS and CCHS.

TRUSSVILLE, AL — The Alabama Sports Writers Association released its preseason football poll Monday, and three local teams find themselves in prime position entering the 2019 season. Hewitt-Trussville, Pinson Valley and Clay-Chalkville all are ranked in the top 5 in their respective polls.

The Huskies come in ranked No. 5 in the Class 7A poll, coming off an 8-4 season and playoff birth. They lose some key players in quarterback Paul Tyson and lineman Pierce Quick, but return All-State receiver Dazalin Worsham.
