BIRMINGHAM, AL — The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Sunday night homicide in Center Point. The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Martinique Drive.

Deputy Chief David Agee of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said neighbors called the Sheriff’s Office after hearing gun fire in the area. Deputies reportedly arrived on the scene and found a man deceased.

The victim has not been identified.
