Huskies, Cougars Fall In New ASWA Polls
Losses by Clay-Chalkville and Hewitt-Trussville last week dropped both teams in the most recent polls.
TRUSSVILLE, AL — At least one area team was bound to fall in last week's match-ups, as Pinson Valley faced cross-town rival Clay-Chalkville. But Hewitt-Trussville's 28-14 loss to Hoover Friday meant both the Cougars (who fell to the Indians 31-7) and the Huskies dropped in the most recent Alabama Sports Writers Association polls.
Hewitt-Trussville fell three spots to no. 8 in the 7A poll, Clay-Chalkville dropped three spots to no. 7 and Pinson Valley retained its no. 2 ranking in the 6A poll. Center Point moved up a spot to no. 9 in the 5A poll after a win over Munford.
