Huskies QB Paul Tyson Commits To Alabama
Hewitt-Trussville High School quarterback Paul Tyson announced he will play at the University of Alabama next year.

TRUSSVILLE, AL - One of the top high school football players in Alabama has made his decision as to where he will play football next season. Hewitt-Trussville quarterback Paul Tyson - who had received scholarship offers from powerhouse schools such as Southern Cal, Notre Dame ,Clemson, Michigan, Florida State, LSU, Oregon, Tennessee and Purdue, among others - announced Thursday he will play for the Alabama Crimson Tide next fall.
Some may not find Tyson's decision surprising, since he is the great grandson of legendary Tide head coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. But in actuality, Tyson did consider his options before committing to Bama. Tyson said in his statement that he went into the recruiting process with an open mind, but ultimately he felt the lure of Tuscaloosa, much like his great grandfather did decades ago.
"I felt the same calling my great grandfather had when he was asked to come home," Tyson said. "Alabama is home and that is where I want to spend my college career."
