Huskies QB Paul Tyson Named Week 6 Player Of The Week
Hewitt-Trussville QB Paul Tyson has been named the Alabama 7A Player of the Week for his performance against Sparkman.

TRUSSVILLE, AL - The 4th-ranked Hewitt-Trussville rolled over Bob Jones High School in week 6, mainly due to the performance of their junior signal-caller Paul Tyson. Tyson accounted for six touchdowns in the 52-18 rout of Bob Jones - five through the air and one on the ground - and that earned Tyson the honor of being the Schrutt Sports 7A Player of the Week.
Tyson threw for 338 yards, completed 27 of his 35 attempts. Tyson had 264 yards through the air at halftime. He now has 17 touchdown passes against just one interception on the season. Tyson told Alabama Media Group he credits the game plan by coach Josh Floyd for the high offensive output by the Huskies.
"The offensive line, all credit to them," Tyson said. "They gave me so much time. Great playmakers out there, great play calling; I think we had real good offensive work. I thought it went real well."

The Huskies followed their win over Bob Jones with a victory over area foe Sparkman last Friday night, as Tryson again led the offensive attack, hitting 22-of-33 of his passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions.
Tyson, considered a three-star prospect by most of the recruiting services, has some football genes in his family, as he is the great-grandson of legendary Alabama coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. He has already received scholarship offers from Notre Dame, Duke, Kentucky, Memphis and USC, among other schools.
