Indians, Huskies, Cougars Drop In Rankings After Losses
Hewitt-Trussville is in danger of falling completely out of the top 10 with another loss.
TRUSSVILLE, AL — Last week was a rough one for Trussville-area teams, with Pinson Valley, Clay-Chalkville and Hewitt-Trussville all suffering losses, which in turn dropped each team in the most recent Alabama Sports Writers Association rankings.
Hewitt-Trussville dropped from eighth to tenth after falling to Spain Park, while Pinson Valley's loss to Oxfrod dropped the Indians from no. 2 to no. 5. Clay-Chalkville dropped out of the top 10 altogether after a second consecutive loss, falling to Gardendale 38-35.
Center Point was the only area team that was able to advance in the rankings, as the Eagles' 54-13 domination of St. Clair County moved them up to a no. 8 ranking.
