Intruder Uses Victim's Gun To Shoot Him: Sheriff

A Center Point man was shot with his own gun by an intruder who entered his home.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A Center Point man was shot Wednesday night in his home by an intruder. The Jefferson Count Sheriff's Office said the incident occurred at approximately 9:45 p.m.

Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Sterling Circle NW to investigate the call of a male who had been shot. When they arrived at the scene they found the 26-year-old victim.

According to the victim, an unknown man entered his then the two got into an argument which turned physical. The offender took the victim’s firearm from him and shot the victim, reports said.
