Jefferson County Sheriff's Office: Man Shot On Valley Road In Fairfield

Around 3:30 PM on Monday, October 18, 2021, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 300 block of Valley Road to the call of shots fired.  Subsequent calls reported that an 18-year-old man had been shot in the alley behind a store.  Upon arrival deputies discovered a male victim who was transported to UAB West Hospital, where he later was pronounced dead.
