Loss To Vestavia Drops Huskies Out Of Top 10

TRUSSVILLE, AL — Hewitt-Trussville's football team finds itself in unfamiliar territory this week, listed nowhere in the Alabama Sports Writers Association rankings after a 19-14 loss to Vestavia Hills Friday night. The loss was the Huskies' third of the season, dropping them out of the top 10 for the first time all season.

In the meantime, Center Point keeps climbing up the rankings each week, this week coming in at no. 6, the school's highest ranking ever. The Eagles blew out Springville last week 40-7, improving their record to 6-1. Center Point's lone loss this season was to undefeated Mountain Brook, who is ranked 5th in the 7A rankings.

Center Point looks to remain hot this week as they take on Sylacauga.

Pinson Valley remained in the top 5 after a shutout win over previously unbeaten Gardendale. The 5th-ranked Indians host Huffman this week.
