Man Found Dead Outside Sylvan Springs Business

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has launched an investigation into the death of a man found outside a waste complex Tuesday morning in Sylvan Springs.

A report by the JCSO said the body of a middle-aged white male was discovered just before 2 a.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of the business in the 1400 block of Porter Road. The man's name is being withheld until his family is notified.

The investigation has not determined the cause of death, but the man had visible injuries, according to the JCSO report.
