Man Shot In Center Point After Confronting Intruder
A man was shot outside his home in Center Point Tuesday morning after he discovered an intruder on his property.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A man was shot early Tuesday morning after confronting an intruder outside his Center Point home. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Fox Hill Ct. NW.
Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the man told deputies that he and his wife heard someone outside their home and saw someone near their vehicle. The man said he went outside and yelled at the person and that person ran to a car and shot at him hitting him in the wrist.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
