Man Who Grabbed Girl In Trussville Parking Lot Indicted
A man who was charged last fall for grabbing a young girl in the parking lot of a Trussville shopping center has now been indicted.
BIRMINGHAM, AL - A man who was arrested for grabbing a 14-year-old girl's breasts in the parking lot of a Trussville shopping center has been indicted. A Jefferson County grand jury issued the indictment against 26-year-old Brent Lee Higginbotham, charging him with first-degree sexual abuse by force.
The incident happened on the evening of October 15, at Trussville Crossing Parkway Shopping Center. Higginbotham reportedly grabbed the girl by the waist and then groped her, according to reports by the Trussville Police Department. Security footage of Higginbothan circulated throughout the community and people eventually identified Higginbotham. He turned himself in to police November 14.
A court date has not yet been set.
