Naked Man Reportedly Grabbed Woman Outside Her Center Point Home

CENTER POINT, AL - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is seeking the identity of a man who reportedly was wearing only a pair of socks when he grabbed a woman outside her Center Point home. A 22-year-old woman said the man grabbed her around her waist before escaping on foot when the woman turned around.

The suspect was identified and arrested Friday morning. His name is withheld pending formal charges.

The incident happened September 4 in the 2300 block of 2nd Street NE, where the victim reported that she had been outside the home in the back of the residence smoking.

Deputies searched the area but did not locate the suspect. An image of the man was captured by a surveillance camera at a neighboring home. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Patch morning newsletter.)

The 20-year-old man confessed to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office that he removed his clothes and grabbed the woman. He is currently in the Jefferson County Jail awaiting charges.
