Pinson Valley On Lockdown During Sheriff's Investigation

A Jefferson County Sheriff's office investigation near the school forced a lockdown at Pinson Valley High School.

PINSON, AL — Pinson Valley High School was placed on lockdown Tuesday while a Jefferson County Sheriff's office investigation resumed near the school. The lockdown commenced after 1 p.m. when a murder suspect from Indiana was tracked to the area.

The lockdown ended just after 3 p.m.

Deputy Chief David Agee of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said investigators are searching for a homicide suspect. "We have information that a wanted suspect might be hiding in the woods in the Pinson community or behind the school," Agee said in a release.
