Police Capture Carjacking Suspects In Roebuck Walmart

Police recognized a stolen car in the Walmart parking lot and chased the two men into the store to arrest them.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Two suspects in a carjacking Thursday were chased into a Walmart in Roebuck and eventually arrested by Birmingham police. The carjacking occurred in Eastlake at approximately 4:30 p.m.

A report by WIAT said police issued a "Be on the lookout" for the stolen vehicle, and authorities noticed the vehicle in the Roebuck Walmart parking lot on Parkway East and attempted to make an arrest, according to BPD Sgt. Johnny Williams.

Police chased the suspects into the Walmart where they were able capture the suspects. No guns were drawn during the chase.
