Police Chase In Trussville Results In 2 Arrests
Two men have been arrested after a car chase, crash and foot chase in Trussville Monday afternoon.
TRUSSVILLE, AL - Two men have been arrested after a police chase Monday that started as a car chase, was interrupted by a crash and then continued on foot. Trussville police announced the arrests of Whitney Williams, 40, and Chase Cole, 23 Tuesday.
A report by Alabama Media Group said the incident began when officers tried to make a traffic stop about 4:40 p.m. Monday in the 5900 block of Chalkville Mountain Road. Lt. Phil Dillon said the driver refused to stop and the chase was on. A short time later, the suspect’s vehicle was involved in crash with another vehicle.

Williams, identified as the driver, fled on foot and was quickly captured. He is charged with DUI, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, attempting to elude a police officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and third-degree criminal mischief.
Cole, the passenger, was arrested on a charge of attempt to elude police. He also had an outstanding warrant from Homewood. A second passenger was in the vehicle but was not arrested.
