Sexual Abuse Charges Against Pinson Teen Dismissed
A Pinson teen, who was charged as an adult for sexual torture, has had the charges against him dismissed.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A teen from Pinson who was arrested in June by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and charged with sexual torture has had those charges dismissed. Nicholas Cameron McCloy, 16, was charged as an adult with two counts of Sexual Torture ,due to the age of the victim and force allegedly used by the suspect.

A report by Alabama Media Group said that Tuesday the adult felony charge against the teen was dismissed for "want of prosecution."

School Resource Deputies at Pinson Valley High School were called to the office to investigate a complaint earlier this year, and a staff member had discovered information that McCloy had assaulted an 11-year-old female.
SRO's collected the information and turned the investigation over to Sheriff's detectives. The detectives reviewed the information and interviewed the suspect and victim in this case. Investigators said McCloy admitted to the abuse during the interview.

Jefferson County District Attorney Mike Anderton said in a statement, "Looking at the facts and the circumstances of this case and this child, we're going to take a look at it in another judicial venue."
