Sheriff's Deputies Make 2 Arrests In Early Morning Robbery
A robbery early Sunday morning in Center Point led to two arrests by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

CENTER POINT, AL — A robbery early Sunday morning in Center Point led to the arrest of two suspects by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
The incident occurred Sunday at 4:54 a.m., when two suspects reportedly approached two women as they were getting out of their vehicle in the 2300 block of Rain Tree Court in Center Point. The suspects reportedly pointed a gun at them and took their personal items and their vehicle.
Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies issued a BOLO for the suspects and the vehicle, and at 12:51 p.m., deputies spotted the stolen vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop. According to a report by the JCSO, the driver refused to stop and attempted to get away. Deputies then pursued the vehicle until two of the three occupants bailed out of it, with the car still in drive in the 200 block of Maple way.

Deputies were able to take two into custody, arresting 22-year-old Justin Malik Carter and a 15 year old Juvenile. Sheriff’s detectives expect to make additional arrest in this case.
