Sheriff's Office Investigating Double Homicide

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a double homicide, after deputies discovered a male and female dead in a home in Warrior Friday. The discovery was made after concerned family members contacted the Sheriff's office.

Deputies responded to the call from family Friday night just before 11 p.m. in the 3500 block of Bethel road in Warrior to do a welfare check on the residents. At the home, they discovered the victims dead.

A report from the JCSO said both victims were killed in the same manner, but did not provide further details.

" We are not releasing any further details at this time," said David Agee of the JCSO in a statement. "Sheriff’s evidence technicians processed the crime scene and the bodies were released to the Coroners office."
