Shooting Investigation In Center Point
Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting and robbery on Center Point Parkway.
BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting and robbery that happened in Center Point Wednesday afternoon. A approximately 4:45 Wednesday afternoon, deputies were called to a barber shop on Center Point Parkway to investigate a report of a robbery and shooting.
The adult male victim called to report that he had been robbed and shot at the location. The suspect fled on foot prior to the arrival of deputies. Once on scene, deputies located the victim and identified him as an off duty Barber Commission Inspector. He was suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male wearing black pants and a blue shirt.
