Springville Firefighter Dies During Training Exercise

SPRINGVILLE, AL - A Springville firefighter died Monday while participating in a training exercise in Anniston. The firefighter has been identified as Jared Echols, who is believed to have died from a medical incident, although his death is currently under investigation.

Echols was taken to UAB Hospital, accompanied by first responders from several agencies including the Anniston Fire Department and the Springville Police Department, according to an Alabama Media Group report.
