Authorities Give All Clear Status After St. Clair Bomb Threats
The courthouses and schools in St. Clair County received bomb threats Tuesday morning. Law Enforcement has issued an 'all clear' status.

PELL CITY, AL - The St. Clair County courthouses in Pell City and Ashville, along with some schools in the county received bomb threats Tuesday morning. Pell City High School, Ashville Elementary School, Ashville Middle School and Ashville High School were placed on lock-down pending the investigation. At approximately 10:30 a.m., law enforcement issued an "all clear" status for the schools.
Pell City Schools released a statement early Tuesday morning saying, "The Pell City School System was included in a threat that originated with a neighboring School System. The threat was shared with our school system after the start of the school day. We are cooperating with law enforcement and following their direction.All schools are under a soft lockdown- no one outside- and law enforcement officers are checking on all schools. I assure you the threat is being taken seriously by the Pell City Police, St. Clair Co. Sheriff, and Pell City School System."
The St. Clair County School system posted to social media stating, "We are working with law enforcement concerning a bomb threat to courthouses & schools in both Ashville & Pell City. We will update when we receive the All Clear."
