Teen Dies In Center Point Shooting
A 17-year-old boy died Thursday from gunshot wounds after an altercation in Center Point.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A teenager was shot and killed Thursday in Jefferson County, the result of an altercation that escalated, according to law enforcement.
Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 300 block of 19th Court Northeast in Center Point.
Money said witnesses reported that an altercation occurred at a family gathering, resulting in a shot fired, striking the 17-year-old victim.
