LEEDS, AL — A suspect is in custody after a shooting in a home in Leeds led to the death of a 19-year-old victim. A report by Alabama Media group said James Brody Sargent of Moody was shot and killed at a residence on Kings Forest Drive.

Sargent was taken by private vehicle to Grandview Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead just before 11 p.m., according to the al.com report.

Leeds Police Chief Jim Atkinson said Leeds police on Tuesday obtained a murder warrant against 19-year-old Anthony Widner.
