Trussville Car Show Raises $3K For Lung Transplant Patient
A fundraiser over the weekend raised nearly $3,000 for a young transplant patient.

TRUSSVILLE, AL — Gracie Poole, just 11 years old, recently underwent a double lung transplant. That alone would be enough to place stress on any family. Her recovery has been - and will continue to be - long and difficult for her and her family, and a recent fundraiser in Trussville raised some funds to help ease some of the financial burden.
Gracie will have medical bills for the rest of her life. Stacey Allen, who knows the Pooles from church, has dedicated her time to help raise money for Gracie. She organized a car show and silent auction fundraiser for Gracie’s Children’s Organ Transplant Association account, and raised nearly $3,000, according to a report by the Trussville Tribune. The fundraiser was held on Saturday, August 10. Allen said 26 cars were registered and several items were donated for the auction.
A GoFundMe campaign was launched for Gracie's medical bills after her surgery.
