Trussville Man Identified As Fatal Motorcycle Crash Victim
A motorcycle crash on I-59 over the weekend took the life of a Trussville man.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — The victim in a fatal motorcycle crash on Interstate 59 over the weekend has been identified. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Benjamin Joseph Maenza, 30, of Trussville.
The crash happened at approximately 2:28 a.m. on Interstate 59 northbound. An Alabama Media Group report said Maenza sideswiped a pickup truck and then crashed near the 31st Street North exit.
Maenza was pronounced dead on the scene at 2:55 a.m. Friday.
