Trussville Police Arrest Hoover man and Pinson Woman After High Speed Chase
A Hoover man and a Pinson woman were arrested Monday night after they led Trussville police officers on a high-speed chase through the city.
TRUSSVILLE, AL - Trussville police officers arrested a Hoover man and a Pinson woman after the couple led police on a high-speed chase through the city. Trussville police originally attempted to stop the vehicle after discovering the car's owner, Jeffrey David Neas of Hoover, had an outstanding felony warrant with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Trussville Tribune, the driver, Lauren Elizabeth Cole of Pinson, sped away in an attempt to elude officers. Neas was a passenger in the vehicle. The chase continued through Trussville streets and onto Interstate 20. Cole then struck another vehicle as she attempted to exit I-20 at exit number 158 in the Pell City area. The vehicle was stopped at that point and Cole and Neas were arrested. Neas was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and was transferred to the Jefferson County Jail for the outstanding warrant for fraudulent use of a credit/debit card. He was released on a $1,000 bond. Cole was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance/methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, attempting to elude, failure to drive in a traffic lane, driving with a suspended license and speeding.
