Trussville Police Investigating Bank Robbery

The FBI and Trussville Police Department are investigating a bank robbery at PNV Bank in Trussville Thursday.

TRUSSVILLE, AL - The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Trussville Police Department are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon at the PNC Bank branch on Highway 11 in Trussville.

Reports from law enforcement reveal the suspect handed a note for money to a teller. This happened at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon. The suspect is a white male wearing red laced high top shoes, maroon duffle bag, and a grey shirt. He fled the scene in a silver Hyundai Elantra with Alabama tags.

According to a report by the Trussville Tribune, the suspect was also seen in front of a PNC Bank in Pell City, and was reported to police because he looked suspicious and was wearing a fake beard.

An FBI statement said that Thursday’s robbery in Trussville may be connected to robberies of two other PNC Bank branches, one in Montgomery in Jan. 5 and one in Tuscaloosa on Feb. 5
