Trussville Woman Found Dead In Jefferson County Jail
A Trussville woman was found dead in her cell at the Jefferson County Jail, evidence points to suicide.
BIRMINGHAM, AL - A Trussville woman who was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on Jan. 5 on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia was found dead in her cell Saturday from an apparent suicide. Kathleen Taylor Gunter, 25, reportedly hanged herself in her cell.
A report from Alabama Media Group said Gunter was found at approximately 4:15 Saturday afternoon. Jail personnel performed CPR on the woman and then took her to UAB Hospital, where she was pronounced dead Sunday at 5:22 p.m.
