Two Men Found With Heroin Overdoses At Trussville Gas Station
One man was arrested and one had warrants issued for his arrest after allegedly being found unconscious after overdosing on heroin.

TRUSSVILLE, AL - Two men were found at the Raceway gas station on Gadsden Highway in Trussville having overdosed on heroin on Nov. 15. One man was arrested and one had warrants issued for his arrest after allegedly being found unconscious on the gas station property. Officers were dispatched with Trussville Fire Medics to the gas station around 2:45 p.m. two investigate a report of two males unconscious in a vehicle near the station’s fuel pumps.
According to a report from the Trussville Tribune, one of the occupants, Michael Jeremy Downs of Trussville, 38,was revived shortly after emergency personnel arrived. Medical staff determined both males had overdosed on heroin.
Downs was arrested at the scene and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He was booked at the Trussville City Jail and will be transferred to the Jefferson County Jail. The other man, 36-year-old Matthew Jeremiah Sapp of Pell City was transported to a local hospital and warrants were issued for his arrest on the same charges.
