Two Suspects Arrested After Center Point Shooting

A dispute between two groups of men outside a Center Point convenience store resulted in shots being fired.

CENTER POINT, AL — Two men are in custody after a dispute between a group of men outside a Center Point convenience store Saturday night escalated into shots being fired. A 35-year-old male and 26-year-old male have been arrested.

Deputies responded to a call of shots fired at the apartments at 25th Court NW Saturday night, although the shooting incident actually occurred across the street in the parking lot of a convenience store.

Deputies found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. The shooting reportedly occurred after a dispute between two groups of men. Detectives were able to determine which group confronted the other and began shooting at them, and have arrested and charged two men with first degree assault. Brandon McKinney, 35, and 26-year-old Courtney Graham were arrested and are being held on $25,000 bond.

The victims were transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. One of the offenders also suffered a gunshot wound during the incident. His injuries were minor.
