Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Clay
A fatal accident occurred shortly after midnight Sunday on Chalkville Road and Old Springville Road.
CLAY, AL - A Center Point woman was killed when she was hit by a car early Sunday morning on Chalkville Road and Old Springville Road in Clay. Authorities said 43-year-old Francine Williams was pronounced dead on the scene at 12:31 a.m. Sunday.
The driver of the vehicle that struck Williams remained on the scene, and cooperated with authorities.
The matter is currently under investigation.
