Patch previously reported that over the course of his senior year, Lassiter snagged 32 passes for 833 yards and 11 touchdowns. But on the defensive side of the ball, he notched 74 tackles (10 for a loss), caught two interceptions and forced a fumble.
His consistency and performance over the 2020 campaign was also good enough for Lassiter to be named as Tuscaloosa's only representative in the Alabama/Mississippi All-Star Game, which saw the Alabama squad post a 19-7 win in Montgomery's Cramton Bowl over the challengers from the Magnolia State.

"Any given Friday night, I always tell people Kamari is going to do something that just sort of amazes the crowd," ACA football coach Chris Smelley told Patch in December. "He's going to do something electrifying and he didn't come off the field for us very often."
Rated as one of the top-10 high school players in the state of Alabama for 2020 in numerous rankings, Lassiter finished the season as a 4-star prospect, as rated by 247 Sports and Rivals. Along with Georgia, he also secured scholarship offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn and Clemson, to name a few.
