Alabama Basketball Knocks Off No. 1 North Carolina In 4-OT Thriller

Alabama basketball pulled off its second upset of a ranked team this week on Sunday with a 103-101 win over the top-ranked Tar Heels.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama basketball secured its second win over a ranked opponent in the last week with a quadruple-overtime upset of No. 1 North Carolina 103-101 in the Phil Knight Invitational in Portland on Sunday.

Junior guard Mark Sears led the Tide in scoring, notching 24 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds on the day.

The win marks the first for Alabama over a top-ranked opponent since 2004 and improves the Tide's record on the season to 6-1.
