The Crimson Tide received 38 total first place votes ahead of the new poll being released Monday and was followed by Houston at No. 2 with 22 votes. This is where it must be noted that, after upsetting No. 1 North Carolina earlier in the season, Alabama also topped the Houston 71-65 in December to topple the Cougars from its No. 1 ranking.
The Crimson Tide will be back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 15, for a road match in Knoxville against the Tennessee Volunteers.
