Alabama Golfer Earns SEC Freshman Of The Week

TUSCALOOSA, AL — University of Alabama men's golfer Nick Dunlap on Thursday was named Southeastern Conference as the Freshman of the Week.

The honor establishes Dunlap as the first UA golfer to earn the award since March 4, 2020 when Canon Claycomb was named Freshman of the Week.

The award comes after Dunlap helped the No. 17 Crimson Tide to a fourth-place finish at the Watersound Invitational, where he carded three consecutive sub-par rounds. This performance included two rounds in the 60s, resulting in a ninth-place finish at the event
