Alabama Steel Set For Semi-Pro Football Matchup In Northport April 1

The April 1 game will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and food truck concessions will be available from Catch A Taste.

NORTHPORT, AL — The Alabama Steel semi-pro football team will take the field at Tuscaloosa County High School on April 1 for mid-season matchup with the Alabama Chargers.

The teams play in the IAFLX football league and are two of seven squads from Alabama that make up the league's Yellowhammer Region. The 2023 season was the first in the IAFLX for the Steel, which is owned by Jeffrey & Kristie Eiland.

The April 1 game will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and food truck concessions will be available from Catch A Taste.

The sounds of the evening will be provided by the Stillman College Blue Pride Marching Tigers, while recording artist Nimiwari will perform the national anthem and possibly a song from her new album.

Adult tickets are priced at $10 each, but a season pass can be purchased for $35.

The Steel plays all of its games at Wildcat Field on Saturday during the spring season. The Steel's final home game for the season is scheduled for April 22 against the Tuscaloosa Tomahawks.
