ALDOT To Begin Resurfacing Stretch Of I-359 In Tuscaloosa On Monday
ALDOT is gearing up to resurface Interstate 359 from the I-20/59 interchange to the 15th Street overpass in Tuscaloosa.
TUSCALOOSA, Al — Tuscaloosa motorists are asked to use caution as the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) gears up to resurface Interstate 359 from the I-20/59 interchange to the 15th Street overpass in Tuscaloosa.

ALDOT says work is expected to begin Monday, July 11 and will continue until the end of 2022. The 2.28-mile, $2.42 million project is contracted out to Midsouth Paving.

Midsouth Paving will also only be allowed to close main stretch of the road between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. to reduce the impact on traffic.
ALDOT said roadway closures will not be allowed from Friday evening through Sunday morning when the University of Alabama has a home football gam in Tuscaloosa.
