ALDOT To Close Interstate Sunday For Hazmat Clean-Up
The closure will last several hours as a crews clean up a hazardous materials from a spill earlier this week.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Department of Transportation on Friday announced all northbound/eastbound lanes on Interstate 20/59 from Exit 76 to Exit 86 in Tuscaloosa County will be closed Sunday, Sept. 12, beginning at 12:01 a.m.

The closure will last several hours as a crews clean up a hazardous materials spill that occurred Friday at Milepost 81.

ALDOT says motorists will detour onto US Highway 11 northbound until they are able to enter the interstate at Exit 86.
