All-Clear After Threat Prompts Police Presence At Courthouses In Tuscaloosa

The all-clear has been given after the Tuscaloosa Police Department received a report of an active threat at a courthouse Wednesday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The all-clear has been given after the Tuscaloosa Police Department received a report of an active threat at a courthouse Wednesday.

TPD spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor said the threat did not specify which courthouse, which prompted a large police presence and respond efforts at the municipal courthouse, county courthouse and federal courthouse in downtown Tuscaloosa.

A portion of University Boulevard was also briefly blocked to traffic.

Taylor said officers quickly determined that there was no threat to any of the locations.
