Join Moundville Archaeological Park on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a copper work demonstration outside the Jones Archaeological Museum! Learn about the history of pre-contact copper craftsmanship in the Southeast.
Watch a live demonstration of the ancient heating and hammering technique used to craft some of the most stunning metalwork in North America.
In the event of rain, we will meet inside the Jones Archaeological Museum.
Drop in anytime between 9:15 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

This program is free with paid park admission.

We will meet outside of the Jones Archaeological Museum at Moundville Archaeological Park.
Moundville Archaeological Park is located 13 miles south of Tuscaloosa, off Alabama Highway 69 and the physical address is 634 Mound State Parkway, Moundville, AL 35474-6413.
