City Of Tuscaloosa To Accept School Supplies For Parking Tickets Fines In August
Tuscaloosa will soon offer residents the chance to donate school supplies as payment for parking tickets issued inside the city limits.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa will soon offer residents the chance to donate school supplies as payment for parking tickets issued inside the city limits.

The initiative will run from Aug. 1-Aug. 31, allowing Tuscaloosa residents to pay off $18 overtime parking tickets with a donation of school supplies valued at $10.

City Hall also said on Wednesday that school supplies valued at $20 or more will be accepted in place of two $18 parking tickets.
The supplies will then be donated to the Tuscaloosa City Board of Education and distributed to local students in need.

The city also provided a list of suggested school supplies and their estimated values, before saying that any school supplies valued at $10 will be accepted.
