DCH To Close South Lobby Entrance, Parking Deck Next Week

TUSCALOOSA, AL — DCH Health System has announced it will close its South Parking Deck and South Lobby entrance on its Tuscaloosa campus on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.

The closures are planned to allow for construction crews to begin preparing the deck for demolition and replacement. DCH Health System explained that once the project is completed in approximately two years, it will feature a new and expanded parking deck and a new south entrance.

DCH said on Tuesday that a new drop-off and temporary entrance, known as the West Vestibule, will open when the current South Lobby Entrance closes.

What's more, a new parking lot — designated in blue on the map below — will open just west of the South Parking Deck construction site for the convenience of patients and visitors.

In the meantime, DCH patients and visitors can park in any of the open lots, including the parking deck next to the Manderson Cancer Center.
