Eutaw Man Charged, Others Sought After Shooting At Tuscaloosa Lounge
Here's the latest following a shooting at a Tuscaloosa bar and restaurant last week that left one person injured.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit on Tuesday announced the arrest of a Greene County man who is accused of shooting an innocent bystander during an altercation at Spades Restaurant and Lounge on July 27.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the multiagency unit, told local media that 24-year-old Corey Lewis, of Eutaw, has been charged with first degree assault after being arrested on Friday, July 29.

He has since been released from the Tuscaloosa County Jail after his bond was set at $60,000.
As Patch previously reported, officers with the Tuscaloosa Police Department responded around 1:20 a.m. on July 27 to a call of a shooting at Spades.

Once on scene, officers found one victim suffering from a single gunshot wound who was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment.
"It was determined that there was an altercation between two groups of people," Kennedy explained. "One group of individuals armed themselves once outside the establishment, and fired multiple rounds at the other group. The victim that was struck was not involved in the altercation and was an innocent bystander."
Kennedy then said the case is under active investigation and several persons of interest are still being sought.
