Shelton State said funding for the festival was made possible through financial donations from the Community Foundation of West Alabama (CFWA), Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports, and the Alabama State Council on the Arts.

“Last year’s event was the shot in the arm we needed to continue this important tradition,” CFWA President & CEO Glenn Taylor said. “We are excited to capitalize on the success of 2022 and showcase even more tremendous talent than before.”

The highlight of the day will be the 7th Annual Southeast Fiddle Championship.

Registration for the event begins at 8 a.m., with the competition beginning at 9 a.m.

Shelton State says over $7,500 in prize money will be awarded in a variety of categories, with top prize money going to the first-place bluegrass band and the grand champion fiddle player.

This year's festival will also feature a performance by Iron Horse at 4 p.m., a noted bluegrass act with three self-produced albums and a large catalogue of original material.

Other sponsors for the event include 92.1 The Possum, American Fiberglass, Hotel Indigo, Houston Hydro-Steam, Jud & Lisa Cameron Music, SmartBank, Old Cove Golf with additional support from the Ray Foundation.
