TUSCALOOSA, AL — A conservative student group at the University of Alabama is set to host former Vice President Mike Pence for a speaking engagement on April 11.

Pence, 63, served one term in the White House and previously served as the Republican governor of Indiana and as a congressman in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The event, sponsored by Young America's Foundation, is free to the public and will be held at the University of Alabama Student Center, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
After delivering his remarks, organizers said Pence will participate in a question-and-answer discussion with members of the audience.

Organizers also said a ticket does not guarantee entry to the event and it is recommended to arrive well in advance.
A list of prohibited items was also provided, saying the following will not be allowed inside: bags, liquids, weapons, signs, stakes, banners, air horns, noise makers, food, or any items that can be used to disrupt the event.
What's more, the Young America's Foundation says disrupters will be removed from the event and are subject to prosecution of local, state, and federal laws.
