Greene County Attempted Murder Suspect In Custody After Brief Standoff In Tuscaloosa
A Greene County man accused of attempted murder is in custody after barricading himself in a residence on 10th Street East in Tuscaloosa.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Boligee man wanted for attempted murder and other charges in Greene County is in custody after barricading himself in a residence in the 2500 block of 10th Street East Friday morning and refusing to surrender to police.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department says Roderick Ball, 29, was initially uncooperative when U.S. Marshals Task Force members arrived at the residence just before 8 a.m. in an attempt to serve an arrest warrant.

Ball then allegedly barricaded himself inside and refused to come to the door.
This prompted members of TPD’s Special Response Team and patrol division to respond to scene and Ball eventually surrendered just after 9:30 a.m.

An suspect wanted on charges in Greene County was arrested in Tuscaloosa Friday morning
following a standoff with police.
TPD said the Ball was wanted for attempted murder and shooting into an occupied dwelling during an incident last month in Greene County.
Ball was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals task force members and will be transported to Greene County.
